Michele's Black Beans and Rice

This is a recipe from my good friend Michele. She makes it often and really enjoys it.

Saute garlic and onion in either bit of water or oil. Stir in tomatoes, beans, water, and oregano. Bring to a boil. Add rice. Bring to boil again. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 min. Then let stand for another 5 min.
