I went to the Aashiyana for lunch because I read the reviews on this site and I like Indian food. This plase had good food, a clean resturant and good service. I am glad they have been able to stay in business for so long. There are very few Indian restaurants in the surrounding area so this is where I will go to get my fix. |

This is a wonderful place to go if you would like to try a sampling of Indian dishes. For under $8, you can get a taste of many different entrees. Really good, and a fun adventure. |

I've eaten Indian food from Vermont to California and everywhere in between, and this is some of the best I've ever had. The reciepes are very advanced. I taste all of the flavors without being overwhelmed by any one spice. Excellent! |

This restaurant is truly the undiscovered gem of Berks County. They recently moved to a beautiful location on 4th St just East of Penn. Their lunch buffet is less than $7 and features over a dozen different dishes, including pakoras (fried vegetable fritters), rice, dahl (bean soup), and various entrees from mixed vegetables to chicken. The owners are cordial and attentive, and do everything they can to assure your complete satisfaction. All dishes are made to order with fresh ingredients. I've had Indian food in dozens of restaurants and I can honestly say this is by far the best. |

Great food. I have had other Indian food, and this by far is the best. Ignore the "row-home" appearance. |

Delicious buffet everyday for lunch. All you can eat from half a dozen home cooked vegetable dishes and a couple of chicken entrees. Salad - fresh baked bread - mmm - I' m getting hungry just writing about it. |

I eat at Aangan every week. Im addicted to the place! First time I tried it I was a bit scared. But after getting over what the food looked like I learned to love the food! Excellent place to eat! P.S. Try the Gulab Jamun! Excellent desert! |

The food at Aangan is EXCELLENT! I've eaten several times at Cafe Spice in Philadelphia which is rated as a 4-star Indian restaurant...and let me tell you that the food at Aangan is far superior! Atmosphere is relatively non- existent but when the food is this good, who cares? |

As you are probably well aware, the restaurant situation in Berks is very dynamic. New restaurants open and old restaurants close on a regular basis. We need your help keeping this restaurant listing up to date. If you know of a new restaurant that isn't on our list, or a listed restaurant that has closed, we would appreciate it if you would let us know. Thanks!! |
