Green Hills Inn is certainly one of the finer restaurants in the Reading area; perhaps even in Berks. I have only been there twice, and both times the service was good; the food was excellent; and the wine list has many fine choices. Green Hills Inn is also among one of the finest restaurants for a romantic evening - it will always impress that someone special. You will also pay premium prices, though I believe it is worth it.

The Green Hills Inn is by far one of the very best restaurants in Berks County and the Philadelphia area! I have never had a bad experience there. The service is excellent and the food is incredible and mouthwatering! I suggest the lobster fricassee and the Valrhona chocolate souffle! Once you try it, you'll find yourself craving it time and time again.

I went there last December (2003) for my husband's work party. The food was really delicious. I hope to go there again!

I can't say enough about this place... except I wish it were bigger so I could get a reservation easier! If you want to do something totally different... go there with a group, and just order desserts... one or two of each. They are the best. No doubt one of the BEST RESTAURANT'S IN SE PA... including Philly!

Food is o.k. not great. A bit over priced for what you get. Service usually is fine, sometimes not. They used to have a wonderful salid dressing. Now, however, the dressing used (there are no choices) is merely blah -- it's ordinary! The sorbet (made in house, I believe) is wonderful.

I just read the review of George P. dated 25 Nov. 2003. I have had dinners at first class restaurants all over the world but find that in my own area, Mohnton, PA, we have one of the finest restaurants I have had the pleasure to dine at. I do not know where George P. has dined at prior to eating at the Green Hills Inn, but I personally, along with my family, find the food to be excellent and very presentable. Yes the prices are higher than some other places I dine at but the extra cost is resonable for the quality and service I always receive. The quality is always consistent, so I can be comfortable inviting friends or business associates to join me.
As you are probably well aware, the restaurant situation in Berks is very dynamic. New restaurants open and old restaurants close on a regular basis. We need your help keeping this restaurant listing up to date. If you know of a new restaurant that isn't on our list, or a listed restaurant that has closed, we would appreciate it if you would let us know. Thanks!!
