What a splendid place for a meal. The food was excellant, the service was great, but what a losey date he was. If I could have had a date with the waiter instead of my actual date it would have been even better. |

Oh boy... another one bites the dust. My wife and I used to love this place but our last visit was the final straw. They have been on the decline for some time and now they just suck. The service has gone from bad to intolerable and the food... well, I had a crab cake which in no was resembled crab meat. It was like rancid fish. To top it all off, the waitress came over and stuck her smelly rear right in our face whilr she was clearing the table next to us. How rude can you get. We will never ever go back. |

The atmosphere is nice. The food is good. A little pricey for the quantity, but quality is good. The service is lousy. I guess it is hard for these two to go hand and hand. I go to Friendlys and the food is lousy, but service is good. I go to Judys, the food is good but the service is lousy. Go Figure |

I made a reservation for a quiet dinner for 2 in celebration of my dear husbands birthday.....we arrived and the hostess was right on and friendly. We were seated and the waitress took our drink orders..we waited...and waited...and waited...we were then given bread and oil....my husband then drank city water,,,I was of course horrified. Finally our waitress presented us with appetizers... my husband was eating the bread and oil.... I ordered buttersquash soup with crab...no mention of CURRY (which I love in other dishes...) ...I tried to sip it...but it was Curry..gag and too sweet..and my husband was telling me to add lots of salt and pepper..the waitress seemed more interested in the party next to us and when she finally served our salad... I asked? we have ordered drinks? She scurried away and gave us our drinks .. she of course Forgot. ..us)... I put the soup on the ledge..the hostess instantly asked why ..I said Curry...I smiled... was strong ..no mention on menu.. ? She was very nice and asked if I wanted Tomato soup..mmm was tempted..but declined! I ordered rack of lamb and my husband ordered a pizza ....sadly our salad were not what we ordered ...mine was not the the promised Heart of romaine ..but the tough outer leaves..my husband ate them because he liked blue cheese..I smiled.... the waiteress served us (Later!,,,) my husband remarked...this is good and made me taste a bite...hmmmm lots of oregeno and basil and the crust is not quite done ..then in fact he had to use a fork to eat Pizza..he said it was a Soggy mess ? My rack of lamb was okay....and the mashed potato well ....GARLICED again no mention!,,,,green beans okay....wait staff ?? well we over tipped because we liked the atmoshere...we made it up when we came home....I said we should have went to the Ugly Oyster. |

My wife took me to Judy's for my birthday and we've discovered this to be one of the best restaurants around. The squash and crab soup was amazing, as was my wife's Papardelle pasta dish was almost perfect. I had a smoked salmon pizza that was crispy and flavorful. Desert was awfully good as well - best key lime pie I've had in a while. The service was good, but our waitress was a bit "snobbish" for lack of a better term. The menu has a lot of variety both in price and food. Many dishes seem to be good old fashion rustic meals with some added sophistication. |

This is one of our favorite restaurants for food, atmosphere and service. I just wish they were open on Sunday (or for that matter, ANY decent Berks restaurant was open Sunday) so that we could take visiting guests there. Thanks and compliments to Judy and the great crew. |

I ate at Judy's on my birthday and absolutely loved it. The food was excellent and very different from the menus of the local chain restaurants. I though the prices were great considering that you are eating at a nice place. I often spend more money on a meal for two at some of the chains. I love this place and I am planning on eating there again very soon. |

I want to like it, I really do. I hear all these great things about this resturant, I keep giving it a try and hating it every time. Granted I have only been there for lunch, but the menu is limited, the service was poor and the food wasn't good. I do love The Specked Hen though, that's where I'll spend my money! |

It doesn't get much better than this! Great food, good booze selection (Chimay!), friendly service, lovely decor... just one of those places with a nice vibe. Super highly recommended. |

Perhaps the best atmosphere in Reading... my only "complaint" if you can call it that, is I wish the menu was a little more extensive... but, this is a great place. |

A huge thank you to Judy for bringing her dream of a restaurant to Reading. I shudder to think she might have chosen another city to set up this wonderful dining experience. It doesn't just offer spectacular food, it's a feast for the eyes as well. Beautiful, artistic surroundings; friendly, knowledgeable, and mature! service; exciting, unique, delicious food and drinks; even reasonable prices (as if you'd care!)...Judy's on Cherry will satisfy everything you're looking for in a dining establishment. Go there soon and often and pray that Reading is Judy's permanent home. |

Finally, a place in Reading, Berks County, PA, where you don't feel like you are in Dutch Wonderland. Beautiful decor, excellent food and great service. The pizza's are great. Another good choice is the pork tenderloin. Surprisingly, Judy's is not overpriced. There are a few very expensive selections, but overall the food is reasonably priced. |

Judy's on Cherry is my new favorite restaurant! It is the place where my husband and I take all of our out-of-town friends and family that come to visit. I'm so glad we don't have to travel too far for a spectacular atmospheric dining experience.... and the food, oh the food! I HIGHLY recommend "the" soup. mmmmmmmm |

As you are probably well aware, the restaurant situation in Berks is very dynamic. New restaurants open and old restaurants close on a regular basis. We need your help keeping this restaurant listing up to date. If you know of a new restaurant that isn't on our list, or a listed restaurant that has closed, we would appreciate it if you would let us know. Thanks!! |
