Medical Exemption for Sun Screening
Although their are many cases where it is necessary to get a Certificate of Exemption for medical reasons from some law or regulation, putting colorless UV filters on windows in a vehicle is not one of them.
In an effort to confuse citizens, the Dept. of Motor Vehicles issues regulations regarding Certificate of Exemptions for medical reasons that allow you to have colorless window filters applied to your windows.
The interesting thing is that all residents are already legally permitted to have colorless filters on their windows, since PA Law only prohibits tinting "which does not permit a person to see or view the inside of the vehicle."
According to the 1996 Update, any auto may block 30% of the light entering the vehicle. But if you can get a doctor to confirm that you have a medical condition the State will graciously issue you an exemption allowing you to put colorless stuff on your window!
By the way, what is colorless? If it means 'clear', why didn't they just say so? Is black or grey a color? Is your TV black and white OR color?
